Last Sunday of each month - 8:15 a.m.
Behind the barn doors
Missional Mornings are a new monthly series designed to explore a variety of topics and hear insights from speakers. It's an opportunity for our community to come together, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn more about God’s heart for missions. This is a space where we can stop and ask questions, pray together, and challenge our hearts. Read below to learn about the past missional mornings and their topics. We hope to see you at the next one!
Next Missional Morning we will hear from Patrick and May Lai who have been forerunners in what is known as Business as Missions. They have spent over twenty years overseas in several countries starting businesses and ministering to different people groups. They have an amazing story. You won’t want to miss hearing it!

February 23rd - Abrahamic Revolution & Jesse in pakistan
We discussed the book Abrahamic Revolution and its first five chapters. These chapters are all about God’s heart for the nations and how it all stems for the covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3. The author makes the argument that the whole Bible displays God’s heart for the nations, it is not just found in a few missional verses like “The Great Commandment.”
On this Missional Morning we introduced the ideas of this book and looked closer into Genesis 12:1-3 and how this verse is one of the greatest missional verses that can be traced throughout every book of the Bible.
We also heard from Jesse Armstrong who has recently visited Pakistan and developed connections there. Jesse shared his journey in getting involved in missions overseas and how he battled lies of not being good enough for missions. He shared some truths that God spoke over him and how he wants to respond "yes" to anything God brings his way. It was an encouraging time hearing Jesse’s obedience to the Lord.
March 30th - abrahamic revolution & a family moving overseas
On this morning, we continued our discussion on the book Abrahamic Revolution. In the book, the author splits up the Old Testament and the New Testament into sections and traces the theme of God’s heart to bless the nations. We focused on specific events in the Old Testament that show God’s heart for the nations. We had great discussion as we looked deeper into events like the Ten Commandments and the story of the fiery furnace and more.
We then heard from a family in the church (who have chosen to remain silent) about their journey in entering into missions overseas. They have spent many years praying about where God is leading them and feel God has called them to Asia. They have sold everything they own and are being obedient to God’s call and awaiting His perfect timing.
